The Court

For many years after the war this building was not used as a court but as the home of the Art Gallery under the name of possibly its most famous defendant, Georgi Dimitroff, who was accused of laying the fire in the Reichstag in Berlin but was able to turn the tables on his Nazi opponents.
Now it a Federal Court. In the foreground is the River Pleisse which has recently been restored to daylight again after many years as a covered sewer.
